Lee Hwan is a disgraced former baseball star, thrown from the sport for fixing games. He takes up the position as an enforcer with a mob boss and loan shark. But Lee has plans of his own and wants more of the money and power that goes with it.
A violent and bloody tale of greed, corruption, money and power. The South Koreans know how to make these sort of films and there is no different here. The lead, played by LEE Min-Ki is terrific and has good screen presence. One thing I have come to realise watching all the Korean films I watch, they have impeccable dress sense (or at least their costume department know their stuff).
The film, unfortunately, gets a tad confusing in the final act and I was struggling to understand the motivation of the characters. Whether that is down to the film-makers or it being in Korean and something has been lost in translation.
It's still a good film and another successful film for Korean cinema.
