Honestly there just isn’t a lot to love
I think if people watch a Zatoichi film and don’t like it this is what they’re watching
Sort of everything is sub optimal, the setting looks cool most of the time tho and the action is cool
But action is only really made properly interesting with good enough camera work and like set pieces I guess blah blah and emotional stakes malarkey
But this is NOT going for anything emotional bro
Also this main dude is a creepy weirdo
Just not great guys unless you’ve always wanted to see a gun and the dutch navy in a samurai film
