A really weird story with super odd and clunky dialog, but well acted and honest. Beyond some out of nowhere scenes that almost felt they only existed for shock value (the trip to that weird man's house), my only real issue is the ending (the scene at the final ten minutes seems to mean that he can have it all, but for some reason he doesn't see it that way?). It doesn't really make sense, especially with all the build. Speed Walking is a film about coming to terms with life and all of its ugliness and beauty. I get that the story is based on an autobiography, but the ending is such a let down.
