Happy Hooptober!

Unfortunately I was not too big a fan of this one. I think the special effects are very innovative for the time and it's admittedly a creative concept (shrinking people for a revenge plot is... really something). The issue for me is that nothing really happens in this movie. I hardly even think of it as a horror movie now that I am done with it. It's a lesser Tod Browning for sure.

Oh what a lovely, sweet, talented old lady! I do hope there's nothing deceptive or sinister going on...

It'd be interesting to look at this film through a couple different lenses (that I don't currently have time to), but my biggest take-away is that shrinking needs to come back to the horror genre in a big way. What for? Time will tell.
