Just camp enough to scrape by, Blood Dolls seems to relish in a low-budget can-do attitude. It’s not so much that it’s a film that throws everything at the wall to see what sticks, rather it is a film costing everything in glue so that it can stick. The set design and costumes feel appropriately sleazy and the use of the puppets makes everything just the tiniest bit more grotesque. Not fantastic by any means, but just good enough. Well worth getting a group together for this.
