I don't know how much of a movie is really is, but it's a solid showcase for Temple. The story is just kind of there to facilitate her showing off her abilities. To be fair, she's not a great actor (she's hitting all the lines flawlessly, but there just isn't any emotion behind most of them), but she's like seven here and she more than makes up for it with charisma. I was ready to hate Temple, but she definitely won me over (that catchphrase got annoying though). The story isn't particularly interesting and it honestly feels kind of creepy. Again, I don't think they bothered too much with the story, as the whole project is just a Temple vehicle, and for that it mostly succeeds; I just wish they put any amount of effort into the rest of it.
