A prequel to "Stone Cold", the story picks up after Jesse Stone is fired from the Los Angeles Police Department. He becomes an unlikely candidate recruited by a town council to become police chief of Paradise, MA, a small fishing town on Boston's North Shore. The board hopes his failed experience will keep him from digging too deep into the town's secrets. His first assignment is to investigate the murder of his predecessor whose death may be tied to a local domestic disturbance case, with connections to money laundering and murder involving some of the town's most affluent names as possible suspects.

Who waits to sober up to drive? That just seems weird to me. I feel like old men watch this because they to also have a drinking problem with beer and whiskey and since cool guy Tom Selleck is an alcoholic then it makes it fine. I think I just broke the Jesse stone fandom. I feel stupid for just noticing that this is a prequel to stone cold. I should’ve watched this first. Also stephen baldwins face is so unsettling. IS THAT A SILENT REVOLVER. IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ONE OF THOSE TO BE IN A MOVIE. They seem so cool. I actually like how Jesse pointed out how stupid hastys plan was. I thought the exact same thing. All of the movies follow a pattern. Murder near beginning and mid side plot. Try to find murder. Find murder. Plot twist. Kill murder.
