This was pretty bad. The animation was good, but the story was just a rehash of the movie. The musical aspect of it wasn’t that good. I would have preferred that they used this special as a sequel to the movie showing what happened after the movie ended since Will Ferrell doesn’t want to reprise the role.

I just learned this movie exists and had to watch it to see what the hell it was. Though it manages to cleverly streamline the story into a shorter musical format, most of the recreated scenes only serve to highlight how much better the original live action version is.
