“Mãe, o mundo mudou, não sei por onde andas, nem para onde levaste as tuas revoluções”
Wow... just like its metaphor, it's impossible to describe this film in a few words, yet it has to be described this way.
Catarina doesn't just talk about her mother as a person, she talks about who she was, what she was like, what she would be like, and the enormous longing she feels...
It's a tough film, not as much as
"The Metaphor of the Birds," but it's still special, bringing
gentle pain, delicate tears, and an eternal longing...Metaphor or sadness turned inside out isn't "just" a film/short film, it's a
landscape, of who Catarina's mother was, and the marks she has left to this day.
As an aside, I realize that I have to
value my mother even more;
time is short...
