It's Valentine's Day again and Charlie Brown dreams the seemingly hopeless dream to receiving a valentine from anyone. All the while, the rest of the gang have their own trials whether it be Linus' struggle to get the biggest card he can for his beloved teacher, or Lucy trying to get some token from Schroeder while Snoopy and Woodstock are having fun spearing valentines on each other's nose.

*How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight for the ends of being and ideal grace
I love thee to the level of every day's most quiet needs by sun and candlelight. I love thee freely as men strive for right; I love thee purely as they turn from praise; I love thee passion put to use in my old griefs and my childhood's faith. I love thee with the love I seemed to lose with my lost faith. I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears of all my life! - And, if God choose, I shall love thee better after death*
Do you want to be my Valentine, Charlie Brown? I will never accept the fact that nobody did anything for him. Like, was it that hard to write a letter?! Schroeder was completely right… even though he could have written one for Charlie too

Happy Valentine’s Day!
“Who would waste a valentine on stupid ole Charlie Brown?!”
Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown is a top 3 Peanuts episode in my honest opinion. It hits all the right buttons; Charlie Brown being depressed during a season full of love, Linus’ childish delusion, Sally’s childish view of romance, Lucy’s profound love for Schroeder and Snoopy and Woodstock’s playful banter. It has it all, and every second brings me so much joy. And then those final few minutes when Schroeder defends Charlie Brown after everyone didn’t give him a Valentine is chef’s kiss.
