Pernicious is a horror movie with a great concept and interesting ghostly origin behind it. That being said it wastes the concept with a boring story and dumb characters. First the positives. Thailand looks beautiful. The legend behind the ghost I wish was put in a better movie. The three actresses are also very sexy and the gore looks good. The bad Is the story and characters. With a good basis for a ghost you ruin it with dumb characters. Really the last 30 minutes really frustrated me with the characters. The story is also just boring. The movie could have been more but falls flat and turns into a bore. Hopefully there's a another horror movie exploring this concept later.
