I watched this as a teenager and I remembered almost nothing about outside the basic plot. Definitely didn’t need to give it another chance. While it’s not awful, there’s nothing great either to hold on to.

The remake isnt as good as the original. It loses the atmosphere and alot of the tension of the original. The remake moves the setting to Argentina and the setting looks pretty but I did like the closeness French countryside in the original more. The cast do a good job and the characters are interesting to follow. I also like the third act the tension is pretty good. In the End the remake of and soon the darkness is fine and has its moments that it does shine but just isn't as good as the original.
