It’s war movie Wednesday and I went to Jadotville, it’s not a bad war movie though it does have flaws, we can start with the flaws. 2 pet peeves 1. Damn dude learn how to salute commander, jeezus 2. There’s a motherfucker that was holding on to an M2A1 barrel as it was firing, I would say that’s not too realistic. Now onto actual critiques, I wasn’t a huge fan of when it kept going to the UN stuff, it made the movie feel most spread out and I don’t think it was really needed. Onto the good, it has a ton of fighting scenes which are the best. I like the use of dirty bombs they made, and I like the army antagonist guy. The action was solid as well. I would definitely watch this again.

Beautiful film. I had to look up the true story after seeing it, and whilst none of the men died during the battle, six of them committed suicide once they got home and most of the others slowly drank themselves to death. It's inhumane to me that they were treated as cowards and only honoured in 2005, all those years later

Although no irish soldier died during the five day attack, five of the men sadly took their own life's due to the events of Jadotville.
This film was great I appreciated that the effects were mostly practical with a sprinkle of VFX thrown in there, the acting was okay nothing special but a fantastic true story.
