A mystery writer is intrigued by the tale of notorious criminal Dimitrios Makropolous, whose dead body was found washed up on the shore in Istanbul. He decides to follow the career of Dimitrios around Europe, in order to learn more about the man. Along the way he is joined by the mysterious Mr. Peters, who has his own motivation.

had to read the book for class and decided to watch the movie for shits. not bad! peter lorre is so fun. his voice is very nice. oohhh so you're knocking on doors now! what an improvement! captures the essence of the novel very well. good stuff!
changes i liked:- loved the funny little map they showed whenever the location changes- irana's slay as per usual
changes i disliked:- why didn't peters and dimitrios just kill each other in the end? it was better that way tbh- no deep peters lore 😔- dimitrios is alive reveal was lame af
