BLU RAY CHALLENGE, FILM #33
When I was a teen, I said that this was my favorite live action Disney film. I discovered it through a YouTube video back then. I loved that Natty was a badass female character, the Great Depression time setting, the wolf character, and that it took place in Chicago. As a “Chicagoan”, I’m always partial to films that take place there. I admit, it’s been a really long time since I last watched it, but when I saw that the Disney Movie Club had it available on Blu Ray, I knew I had to have it. It’s disappointing that it has no special features.
It’s safe to say, it’s not as good as I remember. The true highlights of this film were the costume/production design, the acting of the leads, the score and the cinematography. The best part was definitely Jed’s acting of the wolf. He was the best dog (technically wolf dog) actor of his time!
This will be one of my Blu Rays to sell :(
