It’s interesting to see the formation of the dumb kids getting into horrible situations trope. There really aren’t many horror movies from before 1970 that feature teens in these types of situations but it’s now become a staple of the genre to have a handful of dumb as bricks high schoolers die in the woods or on an island. All that being said the kids here are annoying as hell, all they care about is water skiing and horse racing. You don’t even have to turn them into mindless zombies, they’re already halfway there.
