What a piece of shit script. I fucking love the Cgi in this movie so so so so so so so so so so so so so much though I shall not lie. The CGI especially for the time is fucking incredible and that final scene is really the highlight of this movie and is really the only thing worth your time 😭 The final scene and the CGI is the only reason I’m giving this shit a heart. Don’t watch this movie it’s not even fun bad it was just overly long and really was carried by the art department.

I rarely say this because I believe the service has gone downhill and has a massively busted quality to price ratio but seriously, even at its current price of free to watch on Tubi, you are better off getting a Netflix subscription to watch Crybaby. This is a true waste of time with little to no redeeming qualities

Whats wild is that this not only came out the same year as Hideaki Anno's CUTIE HONEY, but it is a pitch that Anno initially brought to Toei as a film he would direct. Instead... we got this. At least one of Go Nagai's masterworks got the attention and care it deserves that year
