alam ko si ricky lee at marilou diaz abaya pa rin ang nasa likod nito... kaya mas disappointing para sa akin :(
mahusay yung casting and they knew how to capture the old cast, but i did not like what they had to work with.
gets naman maraming nagbabago sa pagtanda natin pero parang nakocontradict nila characterization ng original story e. for some reason, mas backwards ito kaysa sa original. everyone feels more like caricature than human. nothing about this felt complex but it felt super preachy even if i did agree with some points? which i guess is a product of the early 2000s.
i could've forgiven the age gap, but his attraction stemmed from nothing? he just wanted her for no reason. parang nasa checklist lang ng movie na talakayin yung age gap relationships and it did so poorly. he could've been a random guy and not jerry's son. and it IS predatory to like him after he promised to be everything his dad wasn't.
bakit siningit na niligtas na bata si levi at namatay si nita bago umalis papuntang america si joey? nakakainis. it felt disrespectful to the original story. parang telenovela (derogatory). i could've rated it higher if it was its own film. but it's not and that added to the issue.

nalulungkot ako sa nangyari kay sylvia pero naiintindihan ko.
sa pagkakaalala ko parang mas maraming beses nabuntis si marites kesa dalawang beses lang.
