I liked this movie better than the first. One of the things that I really appreciate from the digimon franchise is that it has this over arching continuity. Something like Pokémon has these throughlines, but a majority of the episodes are stand alone. The story of Digimon really continues from each episode to each episode. I’m so glad they did that for this movie series as well. I do really not like the Joe arc because it puts Gomamon on the sidelines and Joe’s study stuff is super annoying. The last 20 or so minutes of this movie were really great. It was super fun to see the new evolutions of Mimi and Joe’s Digimon.
