Slow burn Hitchcockian procedural with a tight narrative and excellent set-up. It seems directly concerned with the act of watching and projecting your own feelings/experiences onto a given narrative as well as the affective nature of stories. That whole voyeur comparison to the movie audience thing. Stakeout is really clever stuff, but just didn’t vibe with me entirely this viewing.
