the redeeming quality of this movie is that it beautifully captures porto in film (and i am going there next week!!!) sadly i did not feel connected to the characters or their weird little love story. did NOT pass the vibe check

I think the dialogue was too poetic. I totally get the male fantasy criticism. Anton Yelchin and the Cinematography were absolutely perfect. I’ll be thinking about the atmosphere of this movie for a long time.
If this movie had Phillip Glass on the keys IT WOULD’VE BEEN UNSTOPPABLE

Movies as well made as “Porto” probably deserves more credit than I’m giving it, but despite the GORGEOUS cinematography I cannot help but find this film terribly schematic.
