“A vampire rabbit? Ridiculous!”
The Bunnicula books were a big favorite of mine as a kid, and I remember my first grade class reading them and taking a field trip to a community theater in Houston that was performing their own adaptation of it that year. It was one of the highlights of my childhood, honestly; I can still remember the sets and costumes.
But somehow, I never knew there was this adorable cartoon version of the story available as well! It does deviate from the book a bit, but it’s so cute and short that I can’t really complain too much. Animated Bunnicula is precious, and I fear that my childhood desire to find a little vampire bunny abandoned on a theater seat has been reawakened stronger than ever. 🩸
