Okay so yeah it doesn’t have a fly at all but I don’t care because The Curse of the Fly still managed to give me the jeebies even more than the originals as it really takes advantage of body horror, that weird human blob thing? That was unlike anything I’ve seen in a movie from this era. I loved the movie giving us a sense that our protagonist, Patricia, is not safe in this gothic household, even if there were no current intentions, but not letting us truly no why, building suspense and worry. The way Judith slowly walks towards Patricia with that centre frame mid shot was haunting. This movie is on par with the original in my books, but I enjoy them both the same for different reasons.
