This was definitely one of the more fun and ridiculous wuxia films but in the best way possible. I respect the huge amount of creativity with the world building. Hong Kong has a charm to make their worlds so vibrant and engaging and really becomes the heart of the film. The fast pacing could be too much at times but it really fits the tone for this movie. I found the humor to be really effective and I never thought I would. The special effects aren’t mind blowing but they are definitely visually appealing and never fails to pull me into the action scenes. I’m looking forward to watching this in a better restoration.
