I once saw a person on this app say that they hated Billy Joel, and their justification was that his songs suck and his biggest hit (piano man) is just a song about how happy people are to see him.
But you COULD NOT convince me that seeing Billy Joel every Saturday would not bring extreme happiness to anyone.
I saw Billy Joel back in February (02/12/22) and it was one of the best nights of my life. I didn’t think I would miss New York so much, and watching him play at Yankee Stadium felt like I was a kid again with my dad and aunt and uncle, even if it wasn’t in person. Billy Joel gets a lot of shit, but it’s all unjustified and he’s truly one of the greatest musicians of all time. A constant reminder that there is good in the world. Maybe that’s dramatic. Idk
