Unico in the Island of Magic

Not quite as effective as the previous movie, as it lacks the overwhelming emotional core that made that movie so effective. Unico is also barely a factor in this until the end.

That being said, there is still a lot of interesting stuff, and it definitely is the freakier of the two movies. Still an overall good time.

i think this was a better story idea than the first one but for some reason it’s less compelling. maybe unico is only able to be successful when he’s in bite sized vignettes. also so insane that the first movie established this relationship with the gods only for it to never go anywhere. i guess the west wind was right and this is simply his fate but jesus christ is that bleak.
