Lesbians, especially in the case of the San Antonio Four (whose case I had never heard of before stumbling upon this documentary), are so fucking resilient and open with their hearts. Horrifying injustice for all four women involved when they (and so many other lesbians and dykes, butches and femmes, trans and non-binary adjacent individuals who center their love around the feminine) are only trying to create lives where they can live authentically with their friends, family, lovers, and queer community… I cried so much!
Compassionate, kind, caring, and tough— that’s what lesbians are. It’s just terrible to know that the US legal system is what tests those qualities to their limits in situations like these, full of prejudice and ignorance BECAUSE we are gay. We should be angry. But instead of getting upset we show in the face of cruelty and we get back up; the world is a better place for it ❤️🩹 (but FUCK, get angry!)
