Overall the acting was really solid. I thought that this film did a really good job of capturing the grittiness of the environment in which it was based. However, the story and the messaging were pretty predictable and didn't feel like anything unique. There were no redeeming characters either, besides the mom which was pretty depressing. Also this movie takes place in a world where Jerry Seinfeld doesn't make it in comedy and turns out to be a super racist cop in New Jersey.
