Man I am absolutely loving these niche slashers I’m getting recommended.
A really solid home invasion slasher with a unique killer and an unexpected great ending.
Obsessed with the 80s style poster.
Horror movies with cars seem to always hit, this, Duel and Christine are all bangers.
I also really like Bill Sage as a horror villian, something about him just fits the role, defiently an underrated actor.

You can do a cheap, stripped down slasher but it’s risky. There’s not a lot to hang on to so if there aren’t many kills and the killer is kinda ho-hum and the main cast is just not engaging, all the retro trappings and some cool flourishes can’t carry. 

This will scratch the itch once it finally gets going but you could do better.
