Wanted my hundredth review to be on Alan Partridge, so here it is.
Alan Partridge is the best TV character of all time: he’s better than Tony Soprano; he’s better than Walter White; he’s better than Bojack Horseman. For a character so simple to be this consistently hilarious after thirty years is an insane feat.
The bumbling dickhead is just so unaware, so pretentious, and so fucking funny. This forty minute short is easy to watch, classic Partridge, but it’s nowhere near the best of his stuff. That being said, it’s easily better than most comedy films today.
Over the years, the character has adjusted to modern times and attitudes repeatedly, and is now a virtue signalling retard who - hilariously - does as much for the greater good as a paper straw.
If you enjoyed the most recent series How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge) then this is a really similar style.
