So I watched this film and I got to say what a sick basterd really what a sick man not as sick as anthony wong but you get the point anyway let's get into the film the film is based on the real life hong kong serial killer by the name Lam Kor-wan we see him get caught by the police after being intrigued by the police Lam Gor-yue confess to the killing and it shows us the viewers the killing in all of their sickness I mean he is a killer a rapeist necrophile who likes to dismember bodies of dead women and keeps parts in a jar like some short of pickles oh and he is also a pedophile yeah it's really that bad and i got to hand it Simon Yam plays the character really well you can see how this film inspired a little bit herman yau 1993 masterpiece the untold story by the way the two films have a lot of the same actors like Parkman Wong Emily Kwan Lau Siu Ming and Eric Kei and another great edition to the cast is Kent Cheng oh and of course the legendary Danny Lee who like most cat 3 films ge as been in he plays an inspector and like the untold story he co directed this film with Billy Tang anyway of you like hong kong cat 3 film watch this one I think you can find it really easily in Ebay in a very cheap dvd copy

Very surprised by how good this one was. The acting was amazing, especially from Simon Yam who’s genuinely creepy in this, the cinematography was really well done and captures the eerie atmosphere very well & the storyline is very messed up but effective. Also loved the references to films such as Taxi Driver & The Silence of the Lambs. 

Overall, a very gritty and disturbing film based on a true crime case that will surely stick with you a while after watching. Loved that final shot in the film as the credits rolled. Also, I’d definitely say this is a great movie to watch at night as it would add to the atmosphere. The Unearthed blu-ray looks amazing too! Recommended.
