I don’t think this is a terrible movie. A lot of people don’t like because of the unrealistic depiction of Bruce Lee. But it doesn’t bother me that much, to me Bruce Lee is just another fictional character in this movie. He’s somebody that wants to bring something to the world but is shadowed by his own greed. The fight scenes were alright, sometimes they were good and sometimes they were not that good. The film takes a generic turn but it isn’t anything that makes me pissed off. The main lead is a white character that’s a student of Lee and it throws me off why they chose him to be the lead. Because a lot of people know that Bruce Lee’s first student was black and Lee also taught Kareem Abdul Jabbar. So I think the choice of a black lead would’ve made more sense. I thought Bruce Lee and Wong Jack Man fought over Kung Fu being taught to westerners but it lets go of that because they fight because of something else. I really thought Wong Jack Man was gonna come off as a racist. Overall, I enjoyed this, the unrealistic take on the story doesn’t really bother me.
