Put this on to learn a little bit more about the comics industry as a whole before doing my Dark Knight episode for the podcast. This ended up being a little more about the underground comic scene than the industry as a whole but it was still enjoyable.
My two takeaways are that Robert Crumb made some really interesting comics (amongst many others). And that superheroes will persist as a pop culture monument no matter what medium for as long as that medium is alive (for better or worse).
