“1/1”is certainly not bad, but it's also far too long for the amount of story that they have to play with. Every single scene feels like it's going too long, and it becomes pretty clear immediately. The fast editing and changes in presentation are sometimes engaging, but other times they feel like they're just trying to inflate the runtime to feature length. The performances are all okay, but it just doesn't feel like they have enough room to play. Lindsey Shaw is good throughout, especially considering the large amount of unspoken scenes where she has to convey emotion. I think the film fully reaches its potential about an hour in, and from that point on, it all comes into focus, and it really works making the whole thing worth viewing.
