Look at this poster man. Genuinely the plot of this movie is Jurassic World with a dog. They gene spliced like every animal to give the dog all the best hunter genes. It has chameleon DNA! At one point it dislodges its jaw and eats a cat whole like a snake!

Imagine if you can pee out acid…
This was a decent campy horror film. Could’ve done without the detective scenes. Tibetan Mastiffs are fucking gorgeous dogs. Wish we saw more of them in film!

Another one of those movies where I always saw the vhs cover at the video store but for some reason never decided to watch it until now. What is wrong with my younger self? I should have seen this at least a dozen times by now!
And damn is Max cute for a murderous pup. I say John Wick would still kill for him

Dumb fun except for what amounts to a protracted rape joke - imagine a Pepe Le Pew vignette terminating in the subject of his amor howling in pain. Largely Max’s targets (read: John Lafia’s targets) deserve to get chomped. The cartoon tone makes it a little Beethoven-y but that leads to the hilarious tree climbing sequence and some really irresponsible shooting by police chasing a dog.
