It's possible that the source material is good - I don't know, I haven't read it - but Sophie's World, the movie, is by far one of the worst movies I've ever seen, that additionally tries to be smart. The acting is terrible, the editing might be even worse and some of the characters make 0 sense. This fever dream of a movie is essentially a more boring The Room
