An astounding work. The idea that this was one of the first anime to break out in the west is incredible. It must have been like cavemen discovering fire. A nonstop joy , and it made me feel what everyone else felt about the interminable bore that is redline. Loved this!

this movie has some racist stuff in it but its ok its chill like that. i watched it with my dad a few weeks ago since hes been putting me on some of the older anime he watched growing up-- this was one of them
the characters are really funny though and its just so over the top to the point where the story loops back to being pretty engaging. i might watch the other 3 movies in the near future but for now i think project a-ko as a standalone film is a solid 7/10

Holy crap. This was a VHS blind buy at Goodwill and this movie is NUTS. This is the most stereotypical anime movies I’ve ever seen. I don’t think they give an explanation of why A-Ko has super powers, but just run with it.
