camp blood really hits a new low.
the first 3 films are definitely bad, i will be the first person to admit it, but they’re just really comforting low budget slashers that utilise their nickel like budget, they just generally feel like fun not to take seriously. first slaughter was definitely where i saw a bit of a decrease in quality, the acting was atrocious and the whole blair witch plot hole really looked badly done, but atleast i can’t ironically enjoy it and kinda see the so bad it’s good factor. but this film was just awful. the first like 25 minutes are just irrelevant, flashbacks from the last film, watching the news, a little dance break, doing their hair. it was just like background noise, this film is already short enough without screentime just being wasted by things which could easily be cut out the film. now 70-25 only leaves us with 45 minutes of actual action, but honestly those 45 minutes are only the tiniest bit better. just so many annoying whiny characters, even worse acting than the last film (which i didn’t even know was possible) and just a reused plot of friends going to camp, stolen from the first film. this is just a rehashed story with a predictable ending, also that ‘to be continued’ has to be the most trashy thing ever. thank riddance that’s over
