i.... am in shock. there's nothing i can say that can accurately convey how fucking angry, devastated, and confused i am. i believe it was Mahmoud who remarked, without any kind of surprise in his voice, that they were bombing innocent civilians, and they knew that. they knew they weren't attacking army generals or soldiers or government officials, but fucking innocent syrians, just under half of which are children. i'm angry this is happening, devastated i can't do more, and im confused as to why innocent lives are the target in this war. i just want to do more, if anything for khaled and his wonderful family who are now left without a father.

No critiques I have from a film perspective are worth mentioning when the subject matter hits as hard as this does. Seeing the first excavation scene in that opening is going to be burned into my mind for quite some time.
