Was the energy of literally everything unrelenting? Sure. Was the martial artist stunt work entertaining? Absolutely!
Was Michelle Yeoh’s 1-dimensional character apparently only given one direction of ‘look smug’? Sure. Did she look great doing it? Absolutely!

The fight scenes in this are great, they make Michelle Yeoh’s strikes look super powerful 😆
Unfortunately the music in this is super compressed compared to the rest of the audio track, maybe that’s a problem with the version Sky Cinema is using 🤷

Just a delight. Constantly engaging. A wonderful cast. Michelle yeoh is astonishing in this.
Various types of action (martial arts, stunts, big battle) are done in this, and they are all done well.
Expertly paced.

The opening was great, and then there were about ten minutes where I started to get concerned because Michelle Yeoh was gone for a bit, but once she comes back this movie is a nonstop joy.

Michelle Yeoh is just the coolest, most beautiful woman who ever lived. She kicks so much ass in this.
If I had to nitpick, the martial arts do not reach the highs of royal warriors, but the amount of stunts and explosions and other types of action more than make up for it. What a joy. It’s tragic that David Chung did not really direct that many movies after this, as Royal warriors and Magnificent warriors are both all time classics.
