The TARDIS narrowly avoids becoming engulfed in a cobwebby substance in space. It arrives in the London Underground railway system, the tunnels of which are being overrun by the web and by the Great Intelligence's robot Yeti. The time travellers learn this crisis was precipitated when Professor Travers, whom they first met in the Himalayas some thirty years earlier, accidentally caused one of the Yeti to be reactivated, opening the way for the Intelligence to invade again.

This was actually surprisingly good. That is ignoring the animation of ep 3 which was genuinely horrifying to watch

lethbridge-stewart let it be known that you are my best friend in the whole universe. the yetis are so fun and great monsters but just keep in mind they’re all played by 6 foot hunks who peed (and probably other bodily fluids) all over the insides of their costumes. patrick troughton briefly beating up on that yeti in part 4 like boom boom from super mario had me explode with laughter. like seriously what did he think that was going to do.
the animated models in part 3 actually made my lungs rupture and my eyes bleed so i decided to watch the version where the surviving stills are edited together in imovie. just let it be known that whoever stole part 3 from nigeria before it was able to be recovered: sleep with one eye open. i’m going to get you.
