drawcinema summary:
Because of the nature of the long span of episodes in Classic Who, this review is updated after watching the serial earlier in the week. I just finished the last episode.
For my first Classic Who serial, I really enjoyed it. It's very campy sci-fi, and has dated effects. But it was very enjoyable to watch. As a NuWho watcher, it took a bit getting used to the slow pace of the episodes, but it was a huge pay off in the end.
Pertwee's Third Doctor is more of a man of action. He has no nonsense and he's alot less eccentric than the other incarnations. In fact, it's refreshing to see a Doctor get down to business and run without cracking jokes on the time.
Overall, this serial is a great start on a journey into Classic Who. I can't wait to continue watching more serials.
