Perhaps the weakest in the trilogy, yet still part of one of the finest trilogies around (and I can’t help but regret not having discovered it sooner). Even so, this installment remains a small gem: it made me laugh a great deal and wraps up neatly, like a perfectly tied Christmas package. One of the aspects I appreciate most about these three films is how meticulously constructed they are, how, in the end, every element falls into place. The “plug socket” scene, in particular, felt like the final confirmation of that precision.
