there are some really beautiful moments in terms of shot composition as well as emotionally that are nested firmly in an otherwise very bleak movie I appreciate that this isn't anti-islamic, but anti-fundamentalist and anti-authoritarianwestern feminists (as well as conservatives- Bush and Bush followers citing the "liberation of women" as a reason to invade the middle east) often confuse fundamentalism with actual islam and then come to islamophobic conclusions so I'm glad this is feminist while not attacking islam particularly I like how they mention the prophet muhhumad's wife as a feminist icon
