Making broly brainless was the worst thing they couldve ever done. The first half of this is a total slog and doesn't get much better until gohan shows up. It might just be because im not a huge fan of videl, kid trunks or kid gohan but the nonstop slapstick comedy that runs for the entire first half isnt entertaining for me. The fights are still good and broly is still entertaining but he only has one full sentence in the whole movie for no reason. The dragonballs activating with no callout didnt make sense either. I did like the way broly was defeated more than the previous movie, finally an ending that doesnt rely on overpowering super saiyan transformations or too much energy for an enemy to handle.
