This is definitely the wrong movie to watch with broken subs. There is a ton of exposition and lore dumping, so that detail was lost. The animation is not great. Linework is soft, with character work like the protagonist feeling ripped from Mighty Max.
I’d be willing to give this one more shot with proper subs. Things do heat up with about 20 mins left. The final battles are grand and having this giant golem kaiju does add a pizazz.
