A slow burn with enough complexity to earn its runtime. The mythology was drip fed in a way that kept me invested and unsettled as to how the story would unfold. This film feels both fully a romance film and fully a creepy horror film rather than taking bits and pieces from each genre, weaving an interesting structure with both twists and scares that excited me. This is my first Bollywood horror film (outside “Dreamgirl” from V/H/S/Beyond) and I’m loving the dance-like action sequences (and men being bested by women reclaiming their bodies). Prosit Roy maintains a solid atmosphere with equal sprinklings of sweet and startling moments.
