70%—•—the month of april is heavy with feature film releases, so i decided to do some palate cleansing and watch some documentaries. since i’m going to see River next week, decided i’d start off with Mountain. the first 70-75% of this was done really well and i found myself really interested, but as we got to the end it started to fall flat. the cinematography here is breathtaking (considerably “easy” due to the beautiful landforms that already exist), but the real star here is the score. it was so lovely and beautiful, and i really hope it’s the same for the “sequel” to this. all in all, this was a nature documentary about mountains. nothing more, nothing less.
