As I've now caught up with One Piece (as far as the anime goes, next I'll venture back onto the manga) I am running out of films or specials to watch in order to journal my thoughts, so I picked this here short and it's actually kinda fire. I do think my next One Piece quest will involve diving into supplemental material I've overlooked through the years (I've even purchased all the spin off manga I didn't already have like Wanted and the Ace novels).
But ultimately, in the story, I have reached the end of Egghead Island and our crew is headed to the island I have truly anticipated the most since very early in this journey... ELBAPH! And with the help of a fucking awesome crew of GIANTS including my FUCKIN BOIS, DORY AND BROGY. So suffice to say, I am ecstatic for what One Piece is up to right now and whats to come. Every episode of Egghead was awesome, the series truly feels like it's building to this climax of epic proportions that surpasses even the feeling of the arcs leading up to Marineford and I'm so here for it. All of the character exploration with Kuma and Bonney and the Vegapunks, even the Elders was all just so incredible, and the brief glimpses into what the Marines, Kidd / Shanks, Teach / Law, and ofc the genius jester himself are all up to was such a great way to elevate the stakes and establish what the Straw Hats have to look forward to.
This is all well and good, making for a great arc and exciting episodes, but fuck now there's nothing left to watch and I'm hanging out like Pablo Escobar from that Narcos meme of him in the pool. If anyone's been reading these entries, thanks for hanging around lol. I'll probably be back logging more One Piece soon.
