Feels like I’ve watched the same movie 4 times in a row, given how incredibly similar this was to the first 3 proceeding it (and they’re all done by different directors!). This one has a bit of leeway given its production history, and how it basically reused the footage from the previous film, but the order of events, the editing, the music… it’s pretty much a shortened version down to the bone.
Thank god it’s the last silent one though, and that it’s better than David O. Russell’s Amsterdam.
